The Jungle Girl by Gordon Casserly (1869 - 1947).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-jungle-girl-by-gordon-casserly/
Mrs Norton is the wife of the Political Officer and confident of Mr. Wargrave who as an officer ends up at her husbands Border Outpost, Ranga Duar in British India after meeting Violet on a different Border Outpost. This is the story of Mr. Wargrave, Mr. Norton, his wife and the people assigned to Ranga Duar as they protect the area, including the forests. We are introduced to Miss Benson the "Jungle Girl", also a love interest of Mr. Wargrave as he lives and participates in daily life in the area that they protect. ( Lynda Marie Neilson)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/files/14087/14087-h/14087-h.htm
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I haven't changed the author's name. When I open the e-book link though it seems to show the name as Gordon Casserly.

Hi Dave -

I have not forgotten about this solo - it is my next project - my previous solo is just taking me longer to complete than I estimated....

Hi Dave -

Still working on finishing my other solo and other readings - however I am making headway and reducing my load as I am going on vacation in late November/December.

I think I am going to download the book and do the recordings at that time. I am not sure how much Internet access I will have so I might upload them along the way or just upload when I get home. Part of the time I will be on a cruise and I will not be uploading as their connections are SLOW and EXPENSIVE! :(
