Devorah:
I'd like to claim the part of the narrator in "Food." (Vaguely reminiscent of Soylent Green...
)
I do need some guidance (this is my first narration gig):
Assuming that the cast is going to do its usual voice credits...does the narration start with "Scene--Basil's home in NYC"
When we did Box and Cox, you had the characters read their own costume description...are you doing that this time? Do you want the costume description read?
Is the props list p. 4 part of the narration?
Prior to each characters first line, would you like me to read her/his name?
Any other special instructions?
Many thanks,
Philip
Great questions! I hadn't even asked myself that yet, so thank you!
In looking at it just now, I almost decided to omit pages 3 and 4 in their entirety, but I think we need it, if only to introduce the idea of the "food safe."
So, what I think I'll want is, of course, the disclaimer, then "Characters." (Don't forget your "narrated by" or "stage directions read by" or whatever.) And then, yes, "Scene: Basil's home in New York City," and continue on through the end of the Scene description (including costumes please), omit the props list, then move on to page 5. I hope that's clear?
Also, maybe Todd/Michele/Sonia/whoever can chime in: That's allowed, right? Or do we have to include the props list, too, so as not to alter the text? I think it might be tedious to listen to, but not horribly so.
I don't know, but I'd appreciate a second opinion on that.
I think Sonia already answered any questions that I didn't cover, but let me know if I missed something.
