sect 2 THE RACE
PL notes: sounds like it was an edit cut short
1- Please check
07:49-50 ? "to leave him any doubtnow"
I'll let you decide if you can fix this, if not, I'll pass it.
2- for future reference, less movement in the last 5 seconds of silence.
Scotty, you made the race scene very exciting!
No triple crown for Chiquito .
Thank you so much, Helen! That does sound dang weird and I corrected it. I remember when I originally read it I didn't say 'now' so tacked it on afterward but because 'doubt' has downward intonation it just didn't come out right.
I couldn't hear any noise in the end silence and meters don't show anything so left that as is. But it does give me an idea. A few months ago I removed the laptop from the recording closet and started using the main computer in an adjacent room, setting up external monitor and keyboard in the closet to control recording. I think from now on I'll just add the silence afterward at editing stage when I am at the computer and no one is in the closet, ha ha.
Just added a fistful of chapters (10-14), mostly pretty short. I am enjoying this story and it is nice having a little time to record--may be more sporadic though pretty soon. No need to rush in PLing, Helen, for sure.
Thank you, Helen! I just realized I forgot to change the status of Ch. 2 to 'ready for spot pl' after uploading the file--just did that and uploaded chapter 18 while I was there.
Dave sure goes through a change there. That one chapter where he can't find nor hold a job reminds of the scene in the movie "Ant Man" when the dude gets fired (Baskin Robbins always finds out, lol).
I uploaded chapters 19, 20 and 21. I have a few more in the pipe I hope to edit today afore gettin' outta Dodge a few days.
edit: put up 22, 23 and 24 too. I think that is all I'll be able to get to until next week.
Thunderation, you gonna vamoose an leave me hanging like a side of beef? Now don't you be forgitten your bedroll and batwings. And if you can't be good, don't get caught (mumbles) you can't finish this in the hoosegow.

Thank you so much! I think there were one or two pretty boring chapters in there among the last few (lotta ex-po-zishun) but the next two are interesting at least. Hope to finish editing them and upload on Monday when i get back to the homestead.
