I had to look up "caparisoned", but I think I still fluffed the pronunciation (boo!) You know how there are some words you never hear spoken? This is one of them.

Rich. The Red Slipper was beautifully read! You told a great story. PL Very OK
Thanks Phil. I'm getting eager to get this in the library (I bet you are as well!)
If nobody claims any of the remaining chapters in the next couple days I'll likely pick one and request it.

Farnood - I'm checking the recordings now, and I hear that what you uploaded for chapter 21 is "The Rabbi's Bogey-Man" - which you previously recorded. The chapter should have been "The Paradise in the Sea" - I'm wondering if you uploaded an old file as chapter 21.Farnood wrote: ↑August 29th, 2018, 3:58 am Here are the remaining chapters:

Chapter 12 - "The Outcast Prince" - PL OK
Chapter 25 - "King Alexander's Adventures" - PL OK
Notes on both chapters: "Checker" complains about background noise in your recordings. I checked the frequency spectrum of the 5 seconds of silence at the end of your recording and found a peak at 50 Hz and another one at 100 Hz - these are almost certainly hum from your power. If you edit with Audacity it's fairly easy to reduce this kind of hum with a notch filter effect set to 50 Hz followed by running the filter again set to 100 Hz. It's also not that serious; this hum will only be heard by someone with pretty good headphones.
"The Outcast Prince" is near the maximum allowable volume and some of the loudest parts sound a little clipped. Keep an eye on your level meters when you do recordings to be sure you aren't recording TOO LOUD.
"King Alexander's Adventures" is right in the middle of the volume range. Yay! In the middle of adventure II in this chapter I heard some low frequency sound start up, run for 3 or 4 minutes, and then stop again. Maybe that was something like a refrigerator running. If that sort of sound happens while you are recording and your microphone is picking up the sound out of the air there is little you can do other than pause for a bit and wait for it to stop. But sometimes something like a refrigerator will shake the floor, which will shake your table, which will shake the mic stand - you can see where this is going! When I record for LibriVox I've been folding up a towel and putting it under my microphone stand to reduce noises like that, and in my case I think it helps a bit.
Two of the three chapters are checked in as OK - I hope you have "The Paradise in the Sea" on your computer and you're able to just re-upload it.
