The Haunted Hangar by Van Powell (1896 - 0).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-haunted-hangar-by-van-powell/
Second entry in series of teen aviation stories, filled with lots of scientific jargon, a jewel heist, and adventure. Van Powell is a pseudonym of early Hollywood screenwriter, Ardon Van Buren Powell (1886-1958). ( Matt Pierard)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/57008
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Will set up the MW shortly.

Edit: I took the liberty of assigning myself as dpl. Let me know if you have someone in mind as dpl.

Thanks, Dave; I accept you as DPL. Chapters 1-5 now available. This is a fun one so far.
Note: there are actually 34 chapters, not 38; I'm not that versed in Roman numerals.

1-5 PL OK.

I'll delete the extras after you have finished entering the chapter titles. I will be traveling for a week so I will be online early and late in the day only.

6-10 PL OK.

At the very least I would think some mention that Van Powell is a pseudonym of Ardon Van Buren Powell (1886-1958) should be included in the book summary. The author database may need to be updated as well.

11-14 in MW. These chapters remind me of that Howard Hughes biopic a couple of years ago, where he's flying over 30's L.A..
This is so well thought out, I'm wondering if this is a Mildred Wirt pseudonym -- but I don't think she wrote for Hollywood. I'll update the summary, however.

23 to 26 uploaded.

Technical difficulties mean I wasn't able to add metadata; 27-34 (recorded but not edited yet) will have to wait for awhile until I can sort this out. :(
