[SOLO] That Affair at Elizabeth by Burton Egbert Stevenson (1872 - 1962).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/that-affair-at-elizabeth-by-burton-egbert-stevenson/

A bride-to-be vanishes on her wedding day and a mystery is born. Before it is solved, its pursuers uncover madness, treachery, and a grave in a cellar. ( Jacquerie)
  1. Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/35247
    .
  2. Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
    • Say:
"[SOLO] That Affair at Elizabeth, by Burton E. Stevenson. [Chapter]"

For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:
    • "Chapter [number] of [SOLO] That Affair at Elizabeth by Burton Egbert Stevenson. This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain."
    • If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
    • Only if applicable, say:
      "[Chapter title]"
    END of recording:
    • At the end of the section, say:
      "End of [Chapter]"
    • If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
    • At the end of the book, say (in addition):
"End of [SOLO] That Affair at Elizabeth, by Burton E. Stevenson. "

Thank you, Jacquerie, for the invitation, I'd be glad to take part in another mystery with you!
I'm going to be pretty busy for 3-4 weeks, but could catch up later; if it is okay with you, then please sign me up as a DPL!

I notice, you do not enter the section lengths into the MW -- it that intentional and okay with MaryAnn?

Thanks Mark, I had not noticed that the times were not there.

Jacquerie, it helps both Mark and me (when I get to cataloging) to have the times for each section entered in the "notes" column.

Welcome back, Mark! And I'm so sorry about omitting the times  -- I've put them in for you now.
Here's the next section:

No problem with the times, thank you for entering them!
Sec.4 PL OK  but I'm starting to worry, 8 chapters, and no dead bodies yet...
