Hi MaryAnn,
I listened to section 26. I have one note that I'm torn on if the omission changes intent or if the sentences stands on it's own.

Section 26
24:47 – missing text – Chiefly, though not exclusively, in consequence of the territorial limits of the jurisdiction of courts, it is often material to determine the place in which an act is done.

Hi MaryAnn,
Here are a couple of notes on section 29.

18:21 – missing word – Furthermore, so long as punishment is conceived rather as expiative, retributive, and vindictive, than as deterrent and reformative, there seems no reason why the incidence of liability should not be determined by consent, and therefore why a guilty man should not provide a substitute to bear his penalty and to provide the needful satisfaction to the law.

39:50 End of chapter 19 should be End of section 29.

Ian and Tricia,
I'm hoping I can get your sections caught up on Sunday but it might float over until Monday.

If you would like, I can take over as DPL. If Ava returns I don't mind the assignment being temporary. It will take me a couple of days to catch up. I have classes tomorrow (one of them being law  )
Thanks a million! :D

Hello Ian,
Section 9 only has one minor omission. In the section title you forgot the chapter number.

0:24 - "Jurisprudence, by John Salmond. Chapter 5, The State, part 2."

Divya,
Are you flexible on the reading of the section title having to include the chapter number? I understand the need, especially for parts 2+, but if it's a part 1 or only a single section and the text itself includes the chapter number would you might if it's not also included in the reading of the section title?

Example:
Last of intro: Chapter VI: The Sources Of Law
Beginning of text: Chapter 6. The Sources of Law. Section 44. Formal and Material Sources.

Hello Ian,
The only comment I have on section 10 is the same little omission in the section title. Other than that this section will be PL OK.

0:25 – Chapter VI: The Sources Of Law

Hi Tricia,
Thank you for that. Most of the PLing Friday was from my laptop while in a hotel. My eyes were certainly burning by the time I called it a night.

Section 19 PL note:
3:27 missing text – Thus the possession by a servant of his master’s property is for some purposes not recognized as such by the law, and he is then said to have detention or custody rather than possession.
