Section 00 is PL OK.

My father is better today, though not out of the woods. Thank you for kind wishes.

Section 02. Please credit me as "Scott Sparkuhl".

I have a question about reading the bible citations within the text.

Example: "(Ephesians v. 8)"

Would this be, "Ephesians 5. 8" or "Ephesians chapter 5 verse 8"?

Yes, the second version please - but only if it appears in the main text. Not the footnotes - it's too disruptive to the text to keep giving the sources. If people want to know they can look it up.

Thanks, this is now in the MW for checking. In future, it is helpful to post the duration of the file in minutes and seconds - that way I know the whole file made it through the uploader. The file I have at the moment is 14:59 - I hope that is all of it?

Yes, the recording length for the file was 14:59.

By the way, I'm new to voice recording and I'm open to any listener feedback you have. Am I doing anything that makes you want to stop listening? Do I have any bad habits to fix? Etc.

I have thick skin and I don't want my performance to be the reason someone stops listening to the book.

Section 2 is PL OK. Thank you, Scott. I found your reading clear and entirely pleasant. I'll be happy if you read more chapters here.

Thanks Scott and Patty! I agree - I had a quick listen to the first minute of the recording, and you have a clear voice, very pleasant to listen to, and good pacing (not too fast or slow). I also find your accent very "neutral" - which is a plus, IMHO. Excellent work altogether! Want to read another chapter for us?? :9:

Actually, I've listened to the file for section 03 several times and I'm not happy with it. Can I re-do it?

What is it you are not happy with? If the file is still understandable to the listener, I'd suggest making your changes and recording the next chapter (Ch 4) rather than redoing Ch 3.

I changed the way I recorded section 03, and I like the method I used for section 02 better. I feel it created a more engaging performance.

I'll go do section 04 tomorrow. It's not a big deal, but if I have time I'd like another crack at 03.
