Ardath by Marie Corelli (1855 - 1924).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page here:

https://librivox.org/ardath-by-marie-corelli/

Adopted by neecheelok70
Victorian-era writer Marie Corelli’s epic work Ardath, The Story of a Dead Self, is filled with supernatural and gothic themes. We meet Theos Alwyn, an atheist poet who is lost and disconsolate with life. He begins his journey by seeking out a monastery in the Caucasus mountains; his spiritual quest then takes him to the mythical field of Ardath, which becomes a door into a dream of another version of his self that transcends space and time. ( Lisa Statler)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5114
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

The only information I was unsure about in creating the template generator was the copyright year of the Gutenberg edition, which listed this edition as "First Posted 2002"

Thank you!

That's fine Lisa. It's stated on the Bibrec tab that the text is public domain in the U.S. The first pasted data refers to when the online text was put up online. I can MC this for you. MW will be available shortly.
