COMPLETE [SOLO] Visions and Revisions by John Cowper Powys-ag
That was a really interesting section, I have to admit I didn't really know El Greco, so I had to look up some of his pictures before I read. I'm really appreciating these essays. To some degree I was doing this because his great novels aren't in the public domain, but this was one of the first books of his I read and it's really good. Powys is so engaged.

Lovely reading Keri but you seem to be sliding into satanism a wee bit:
09:58
sounds like :
...Jehovah and the conquering Personality of Lucifer...
my text reads :
...Jehovah and the conquered Personality of Lucifer...
( Seems to me Powy's point in this section seems to be that the main difference between God and Lucifer is that God beat Lucifer )
while you are editing
08:25
sounds like:
... the most pantheistic ..
The text I have reads:
... the least pantheistic ...
and then he says:
"That magical sense of the brooding Over-Soul which thrills us so in Goethe's poetry never touches his pages"
So maybe "Least" is right?
Ok. I'm off to put goats blood on the lintels.

re edit with those two fixes.

That was weird about the pantheism, I even remember thinking about that on my pre read, thinking yeah he's definitely not pantheistic.
By the way thanks for the warning regarding Satanism, hopefully just a minor slip.

That's a really good read.
I'm doing a more strict PL then required. I'm only supposed to point out unclear words or repeats, stuff like that.
What I'm doing is closer to a word for word PL and that's not what was requested, anyway;
the only two issues here worth mentioning are really minor but do slightly change meanings and it's also possible that our texts differ so I leave it to you to decide if edits are needed.
09:37 sounds like
... How different, whether ...
my text reads
... How difficult, whether ...
18:13 sounds like
...Laws of the Prophets ...
my text reads
...Law and the Prophets...

I'm sure you're quite forgiving, those errors do mess with the meaning.

Lamb now perfect. Thanks.
I really enjoyed the Dickens chapter and you sound to be having fun reading it too. I think our texts differ a bit with Dickens but the meanings are all there and I think yours is the better. Perhaps I have an earlier or unedited version.
1:33 A Repeat?
.Only a great creative genius could so dominate, for instance, his mere "illustrators," as to mesmerize them completely into his nature. Only a great creative genius could so dominate, for instance, his mere "illustrators," as to mesmerize them completely into his manner.
my text reads just the last of the two sentences.

Yeah I did enjoy the chapter of Dickens, it made me very pleased that I was doing this, I thought it gave insight into both Dickens and Powys fiction. Not just insight either.
