Whoever was editing The Double Dealer in 1922 must have had a good eye for contrasts to have put Faulkner and Hemingway together on page 337. Seems like it’s a pretty good example of the differences between the two. I hadn’t realized that their lives almost perfectly overlapped—they were born within two years of each other and died one year apart.
