you know, I probably did, but what surprises me more is that you never took issue before, because I believe I never ever do a difference in sound with the words "man" and "men". I was always under the impression there is not really a difference. Not like with "woman" and "women". Also when I hear other people read the word "men" I don't think I notice much of a difference.

This sounds fine. I tend to pronounce the "en" portion as "in". To me it's the same pronunciation as the abbreviated min for minimum or minute.

oh no, that was actually done on purpose. I know how to pronounce begun but here I am saying it in my French persona, and this is the way many French would say the word. Their English 'u' sounds a bit like that.

Hi Linny, you probably already wondered what's up with me. Well, LV kept me quite busy so I had to to push my Solo on the backburner. But I managed to finish one new chapter finally. Here is the first part of an intriguing story about diamonds. It's hilarious how often and how quickly this flawed diamond changes hands in the first chapter Everybody tries to out-con the other.
the second part of the story was quite short, so here as special treat you get two sections in one day. But the last part with the solution of the diamond mystery will have to wait for a bit longer (sorry). It's a bigger chapter again.
As for the ominous Mr Fungst, I pictured him as the sort of typical German diamond trader living in Paris, so I gave it my best to give him a thick Germanic accent (wasn't easy after I spent my whole life getting rid of such an accent ) He sounds quite funny.
