Back after 8/15. In the hands of the medicos.
I'll try uploading it again - it's a long file and my bandwidth is a bit restricted so it doesn't like large files. I've reuploaded, so it should work now, same link but here it is again anyway:

I've recorded Chapter 2 - I think this will be the longest chapter in the book! It's a massive file, so I hope it uploads properly - if not, let me know and I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks Philip! It was a long section so I recorded it over three sittings - hopefully the final volumes were close enough!
Thanks Karen, Section 22 is now in the MW!

I've finally figured out my new recording setup, I think (O Computers, Why Are You So Troublesome) and I'm hoping to have my sections all caught up in the next few days.

Karen:
I have the following notes for Section 22:
Nice job reading! The text is word perfect or very close. There are a few minor issues which keep it from being PL-OK.
1. There is significant background noise (humming) throughout the piece which is distracting to the listener. (Suggestion--Try running the noise reduction effect to reduce the humming).
2. At various points in the reading, there is a muffled banging which interferes with your reading (at 5:14, 6:37, 8:04, 9:36, 15:00, 18:05)
3. The ending silence is a little over 1 second long. It should be around 5 seconds long.
I enjoyed listening to your reading.
Many thanks,
Philip

Thanks Karen and Philip. I had a quick listen to Chapter 22, and I agree that the humming should noise clean out fairly easily.
The banging sounds to me like something hitting the microphone or desk - is the cord swinging? Most of them seem soft enough that the voice is still audible, but that first one is pretty loud and is going to be a problem for the listener.

I'll read section 12 (asking to give) if you're looking for a reader
Great! Welcome David! Thanks for doing your 1 minute test! You're in for Section 12!
Since this is your first recording, I need to create a reader file for you with the name you plan to use in your voice credit - I think most of us use our real names, but you don't have to. So when you say "read by..." what do you want to have there?
