Rain On The Down by Arthur Symons, read for LibriVox.org by [your name].
[Add, if you wish, date, your location, and/or your personal url.]
Then read the poem:
NIGHT, and the down by the sea,
And the veil of rain on the down;
And she came through the mist and the rain to me
From the safe warm lights of the town.

The rain shone in her hair,
And her face gleamed in the rain;
And only the night and the rain were there
As she came to me out of the rain.

At the end of your reading, leave a space and then say:
End of poem. This recording is in the public domain.

Please leave 5 seconds of silence at the end of your recording.

Thank you Nemo and Lee Ann. :thumbs:

Good reading smturner639, but the volume is too low at 84.5 dB. You should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:
Image

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker Make sure you download the experimental version - you will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK)
There is also a 41.4 dB background noise level that will increase with amplifying, so you will have to apply some Noise Reduction to the file.
Please experiment with amplifying and Noise Reduction and upload a new file (same filename please).
