Bringing up the Boy by Carl Werner (0 - 0).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/bringing-up-the-boy-by-carl-werner/
"Bringing up the Boy" is, according to it's subtitle, "A Message to Fathers and Mothers from a Boy of Yesterday concerning the Men of To-morrow" and proffers advice for parents on raising boys from infancy until adulthood, to become fine, upstanding men. The fact that boys are temperamentally, emotionally and physically different from girls is never lost sight of in the discussions in the various chapters. Discussions include: advice on allowing boys to settle their own differences, without interference, but with advice; the Santa Claus myth; the best ways to discipline the boy, to ensure he gets the message; advice on how to talk with your boy regarding smoking, drinking, sex, puberty, and keeping a clean mind as well as a clean body. The author's advice is from his experiences in raising his boy, and the fact that he was once a boy. So many parents often forget that they were once boys and girls themselves. (Donald Cummings)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Section 0 (Forward) is available for PL. (4:40) :)

Dave, since this is the first time we are working together, I usually like to let DPLs and MCs know what they are in for with my projects ... :D

The next sections will not come as quickly as this one did. I seem to take longer to edit than most  , and I usually run 2 solos in parallel to keep my interest high, as each is generally in a different genre, difficulty level, etc.). Then there's my volunteer work at DP....

I hope that is OK with you.

Thank you,
Don

0 PL OK.

I think most readers doing solos like to work on more than one book. And as you mention, books of different difficulty. I travel a bit and while it may be just minutes before I PL a section, sometimes it may be days. In January I may be "off the grid" for 2-3 weeks while on a hiking trip. I'll catch up when I can find wifi.
