Sure, sign Jasmin up for "Dancer" in Ch 7 and "Lady" in Ch 14 -- I'm sure she'll love those. I'll have to check with her about the crowd woman -- it's a bit cockney as well, so she may have trouble... although she just recorded the street boy, Jim, in "If I Had a Father" and it sounded pretty good.Elizabby wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2018, 3:16 am Zoe struggled a bit with the London Cockney-isms as well, but she's recorded before and knows she can have lots of attempts! I coached her through it, and the role is shorter than the "Expelled Boy" so it suited her better - I think her patience was about at an end by the time we finished! The other two girls enjoyed being the puppies too! (As I said before, I created separate usernames for each of the girls just using their first and middle names. You can see them in the MW - it just allows them to get credit for their work and to find their own recordings easily. I upload all their stuff though, so their profiles say "zero posts"! Also PM is disabled on their accounts - just in case...)
Jasmine might be interested in the "Dancer" in Ch 7 and there's a "Crowd Woman" in Ch 8 and a "Lady" in Ch 14. I think they are mostly about two lines each, so nice little parts to get her interested!

I'm so excited about both of these projects right now! Which reminds me, Beth, there are a few open slots for some rude little London boys in If I Had a Father. If Zoe isn't sick of Cockney yet and wants to play a meanie, I'm sure she'd be great!benderca wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2018, 4:54 pmSure, sign Jasmin up for "Dancer" in Ch 7 and "Lady" in Ch 14 -- I'm sure she'll love those. Narrator chapter nine: https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/amulet_09_narrator.mp3
(28.10)
Oddly, the author mis-spells "orichalcum" as "oricalchum" throughout the chapter. I've stuck with her spelling.

Here's Old Nurse. I was aiming for a voice that sounded old, but it may come across as a Southern lady trying to hide her accent. If it doesn't sound right, let me know. It's not too much to redo.

Thanks for checking the narrator's files.
I'm not sure what you mean about the spaces. I've usually put between three and four seconds of silence between the blocks of speech ... never less than three.
Peter

Thanks Helen, I'm not sure what you mean either.
Peter has left adequate gaps for editing in this file, if that's what you wanted me to check. (The gaps don't have to be large enough to fit in all the speeches by other characters.)
I've therefore marked Chapter 6 narration as PL OK!

Please sign Jasmin up for "Dancer" in Ch 7, "Lady" in Ch 14 and "Crowd Woman" in Ch 8. She just finished recording them, but I need to edit.benderca wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2018, 4:54 pmSure, sign Jasmin up for "Dancer" in Ch 7 and "Lady" in Ch 14 -- I'm sure she'll love those. sect 87 Narrator Ch 6 PL OK
I am sorry, I am new to checking specs. Please check the file name should not contain space characters; use underscores ("_"). Space in file between narrator and sect.
Now chapter 6 is gone?
Chapter 7: (this chapter has changed sections?)
Note: Please check the file name for Chapter 7, it should not contain space characters; use underscores ("_"). Space in file between narrator and sect.
Sadly, since I have no idea why these chapters and sections keep moving, it is best that I allow somebody else to do the PL work on:
Chapter 6, 7, & 9.
