Here are chapters 10 & 12 for Maud. Please let me know if the volume is too loud, esp. on chapter 12; I've been trying to work with the amplifier and all the other Audacity tools, using tips & instructions.

Maud chapters 10 and 12 sound great, but the volume is just a touch over 92 dB. Could you de-amplify just a tiny bit and send them in again? I also realized that I'd forgotten to check the volume on the other files, and chapters 7 and 8 are just a bit too low (less than 86 dB). Again, just a touch of amplification should be enough. Thanks!

After installing Replay/Gain and using Checker, both completely new to me, I think I have the sound level where they need to be (in the mid-to-upper 88's, right?). So here they are again, hopefully better.

Thanks, Laura! These are great! You shouldn't need to post the time again if it hasn't changed, but you actually don't have to post the time at all for a dramatic reading like this, since all the files will end up being combined and edited together. If it helps you to remember it in other projects, though, it doesn't hurt anything to post it here.

Yeah, I think that's right. I was going to guess LV's target was 89 dB...

I would say yes, if you think of it, mark it down for the PLer, so he or she knows what they're getting into when they start to PL. But Angela's cool with it, so I guess there's no need (unless it helps you to remember to post the time for other projects).

Finally getting to the remaining narrator chapters...

For chapter 6, there is one missing line at 7:35 - "continued grandma, with a mysterious nod"

For chapter 7, I'm noticing a tiny bit of background noise all through the file. It's not much at all, and honestly, I wouldn't have said anything about it except that the rest of the chapters have been so squeaky-clean that I'm wondering if something just got missed. If it can't be cleaned up, it's not a big deal; I just thought I'd mention it and get your feedback before I marked it okay.

Chapter 8 is PL OK!

While recording chapter 16, I noticed there were several lines with colors swapped between Fan and Polly. The lines below should be assigned to:

Fan (red): "Never; I don't like the fashion. I give it away, or let Maud have it for tableaux."
Polly (gold): "I wonder if you would mind my telling you something Belle proposed?"
Fan (red): "If it's an offer to buy my clothes, I should mind,"
Polly (gold): "Then I won't,"
