Hello everyone. My name is Ruth, I'm 42 and live in North East Scotland. I am a huge reader and also love to crochet. I combine the two by crocheting whilst listening to audiobooks. I have listened to so many librivox recordings I feel it's time I gave something back and have decided to volunteer my time and vocal chords.

Welcome!

And if you want to keep crocheting, you could be a proof-listener! 8-)

Yay for crochet!

Also, if you would like to lend a Scottish voice to a dramatic reading of a book set in England, click on the red link in my signature and head over to "The Story of the Amulet" by Edith Nesbit. It's the third book in the "Psammead" trilogy, if you're not familiar with it. It's a children's book, so nice short bits to read for a beginner!

And if you'd like to try those traditional Scottish sounds there is always the declaration of Human Rights (see signature) for you to read from.
Cheers
