The Parables by Lyman Abbott (1835 - 1922).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-parables-by-lyman-abbott/
This is a collection of the parables of the new testament. ( Lynda Marie Neilson)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/parables00abboiala
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I will set this up for you.

Edit: All set. Let me know if you need anything else.
We'll hang out on the Launch Pad for a couple of days to see if we can attract a DPL.

What red bell thingy??? Are you getting noises when something happens? That might solve my mystery noises on my laptop that have happened in the last day...

Please explain this feature!

I'm not sure... I get a blue bell thingy, with a red dot when I have notifications. Is that what you mean?

The mystery of the red bell thingy. Mine is solid dark blue without notifications, bright red when messages appear. I don't get any type of sound.

I wish there was a "duh" smiley (ala Homer Simpson). There are times I could smack myself for some of my postings.

Have a great day ladies and stay safe.

I was cleaning up the authors in the database. This was entered as Abbott Lyman; the author is Lyman Abbott. You'll want to be sure your audio has his name correct, since I see your intro wording in the first post has it backwards.. :)
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Oops, thanks for picking that up. Much easier when people have more conventional names

PL Notes for:

sect 1 The Sower
sect 2 The Kingdom of Heaven
sect 3 The Lord and the Servants

Reverse the authors name to "Lyman Abbott".

Mary Ann - how do I edit the text for this reading above such as around the Magic Window (I know how to edit my recordings :) )

I see Tricia edited the title which is awesome however I do not want to read the wrong name when I am reading the intros or exit in the future...
