The Popular Nickelodeon was PLOK as read but I wonder if you might read the subtitle.
Despite Efforts of Business Men to End Existence of the Five-Cent Theater, It Still Lives and- Prospers Because of Popularity.

It was in written in 1908 at the height of the Nickelodeon and the industry was dead by 1915 according to Wikipedia.

It's an interesting piece. Thanks Andrea

Hard Knocks Make the Man was another interesting piece Andrea. I have the same question about the subtitle. PLOK otherwise

Buster Keaton: born Pickway, Kansas 1895 which was blown off the map after he was born. Started with the Keaton-Houdini show.

Here's an interview from 1960

Yep I can read the subtitles. Should I repeat them at the end as well?

Thanks!

Volume 054 is now FULL. Please save you recordings for Vol. 055 and look for it in the thread " Reader's Wanted: Short Works (Poetry and Prose)." Thank you!

For anyone hasn't spotted the announcement already, I see that Tricia has posted that the forum will be down for 4 hours tomorrow January 4...
