After the previous big update, it's no surprise that another release follows shortly after.
Release notes are here.

The big news for those writing instructions is that File > Save Other has changed back to File > Export

And you can now change the waveform colour...

I wonder if they fixed what made "ReplayGain" plug-in permanently disabled on High Sierra 10.13... Worked on Windows, though.

I'm finally playing around with this newest version of Audacity now that I have a new computer (non-macbook! so different!), and one thing I can't seem to figure out is getting the 128kbps option when exporting.... it doesn't seem to show up for me. it just shows intervals higher than that-- starting with "Medium, 145-185kbps" and going on up to "Insane, 320kbps"

am I missing something?

Oh dear, that is disconcerting. Perhaps we should check out the forums at Audacity.

Yes, you're missing the correct "Mode" setting. Make sure it is "Constant".

aha-- I think I figured it out. I was overlooking the tabs for "pre-set" "variable" and "constant" bit-rate modes. under constant, I can put in the right setting. hurrah!
