Betty,
PL OK through 13. I laughed at the hole in the door for the family dog, who could smell a foreigner and would bark.

MaryAnn:
I was travelling for Thanksgiving and used a different mic to record several chapters. This is one of them. Could you take a listen and see if you think there are any problems. I will not be using this mic again. Thank you.

Betty,
I listened to a bit of 22. Then to a bit of 17, then to a bit of 1.
22 is more bright and a bit echo-y, but 17 is also bright and a bit echo-y. 1 is very warm and solid.
I'll say, I listened to 17 earlier this week and thought it was fine. I didn't notice the sound change until tonight, but then, I wasn't listening to the sections back to back. So it didn't strike me as sounding bad, but I think someone listening to the book will notice that you've moved to a different location/set up when they get to those chapters.
To me, I think the change is OK. 1 is a better sound long term, but 17/22 are understandable, clear, and no distortion. They are noticeably brighter, but not in a bad way.
In the end, it's what you are comfortable with. I understand if you want to re-record for a more consistent sound, but it's also perfectly fine to leave as is.
