The Journal of a Tour to the Hebrides with Samuel Johnson by James Boswell (1740 - 1795).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-journal-of-a-tour-to-the-hebrides-with-samuel-johnson-by-james-boswell/
An anecdotal account of the journey undertaken by James Boswell and Sameul Johnson to the Scottish Highlands and the Hebrides Islands ( Anthony Ogus)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/6018
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

OK, your MW is ready for you! We will wait here a day or two to see if we can pick up a DPL, and I did shorten the file name a bit. The one that the template generator spit out was a bit long. If you want to shorten in further, please do so!

Thanks, Ann. Good to have you on board again. I'm happy with the slightly reduced title. This will be an ambitious undertaking given the content and the length of the book.

You will see that I have completed the recording of the Rose Macaulay. I hope that will be available on the website soon.

Hi Ann

No sign yet of a DPL but I've started the recording and posted the Introduction.

A very happy Christmas to you and yours.

That's OK, it's holiday time, so a lot of people are distracted from LV. Feel free to upload as you finish, even if we don't have a DPL. :D

In your intro you are missing the phrase " For more information or to volunteer, vistit librivox.org"

I'm looking forward to hearing the rest.

Very good of you to help, aniroo out there in Montana.

I'll amend the introduction in accordance with your comment.

Hi aniroo

Near the beginning of the intro (section 0) there is " For more information or to volunteer, vistit librivox.org". Did I misunderstand your comment?

Anyway, section 2 posted.

A Happy New Year to you.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It's missing in section #1.
