Good eye/ear! I think have both problems properly patched up in the latest version:

I totally agree, this was really a lot of fun to do and it will turn out so great :9:

thanks Kurt, everything nicely patched now. So that's the kind of "Oooooooh" you are uttering when you see a lady slapping a man  Interesting.

PL ok.

What does he utter when he sees a Lady throttling a lowlife Australian moneylender?

"Yay, Kitty! She's our gal!
If she can't do it, no-one shall!"

 this sounds like a cheerleader. But he would probably say "Auntie" ;) for the rest you may be correct.

Here is act 1 for Lady Macphail, any critiques on the voice would be wonderful before I go on to the rest of the play.

Apologies for this being down to the wire... I had a PEBKAC error with Audacity, and also was feeling under the weather, only to find out... I apparently have 9 months of feeling like this... yay? Yay!

haha, the good lady is a tad languishing methinks. And very domineering. Poor Colin hardly gets a word in. Nicely done, especially the many Scottish names, sound genuine. PL ok for Act 1.

Also congrats on the happy event. A future Librivoxian, I suppose

The Dowager is down to the wire as well -- and she has no 9-month excuse to fall back upon... We fine, domineering ladies are never late... everyone else is simply... early. :D

I see after listening to you that I totally botched the pronunciation of "Ballocheevin." I asked my Scottish friend for the pronunciation of Ben-Auchter, but I had already recorded the first act and didn't think to ask about Ballocheevin. :help:

Thank you guys! As far as the pronounciations go, it helps to have friends who are children of Scottish immigrants who still very much have their accents and also know some Gaelic. Once you get a feel for how certain consonant connections go, you can kind of guess... but I also like going to the "translate" section of google and making them say it :P
