Indeed. And suddenly I've an idea for a special LibriVox project. A collection of the most unexceptional 'writings' not considered actual literature, e.g. random user manuals such as those included with vacuum cleaners, smartphones & autos; software man pages which essentially are instructions for installation and use of various open source programs for varying Linux & BSD operating systems; and even ingredient listings of products ranging entire spectra of purposes. It could be arranged as a friendly contest of sorts, like a poetry slam, to display the talents of readers to do just what you described in your phone book example. One never knows just who is out there among us in possession of abilites not yet realized for lack of impetus. It will never be known if a spark of an idea may ignite a creative tradition in the LibriVox community. Moreover, one cannot witness the beauty of a flower without first planting its seed. In this case it would be a phone book, though I'm unsure during which season to plant a phone book. I do, however, have an innate sense that phone books are a desert dwelling species. Obvously they will grow best if planted under a full moon, ideally equinoctial.
