I don’t understand what you mean by “draft”. We don’t do that here. What you submit you should feel is correct and the PL process is only to doublecheck. Also, please let me know what the file duration is. We always need to know that when you post a section.

The length is 2:10
Excuse my inexperience, but I assumed that if the proof reader noticed something I didn't, I would need to re-record. This being my first reading on the site, the likelihood is that regardless of how hard I worked, there might be issues that I wouldn't even notice.

Here are the PL notes for the Preface.
-Your volume is a little low at 85.7dB. We aim at 89dB with an acceptable range of 86-92dB.
-Your opening silence needs to be less than 1 second. Please trim.
-1:57 missing text: M.B.C.
-Since you missed a bit of text would you mind changing the ending to "End of Preface"?
-Ending silence should be 5 seconds and should not include clicks.
-File name should be modernmonologues_00_cooke_128kb.mp3

You did a great job. I like you inflection and pacing. Nicely done.

Hopefully the volume is correct, since I still haven't been able to find anything that explains how to fix it in a way I can understand.

Hi Carri,
Sorry for the delay. It's that time of year when I seem to always be running behind.

Volume is spot on. You did however miss the intro on this one. Please make sure when you re-record a full section to let the PLer know. Usually we only spot check the area in question. Since your file duration was so different than the first round, and you seemed concerned with editing, I took a guess you went ahead and made a new file.

Please make sure the opening silence is less than 1 second. You are only at 1:08 and normally I wouldn't have corrected for that little over but since you need to alter the file anyway, might as well take care of that too.
