Hello,
I would like to claim Book 7.
This is my first LibrVox recording. So I hope I'm posting in the right place.
Any advise would be great.

Hi yonesantana and a big welcome to LibriVox! I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test How to Upload your 1 minute testyonesantana wrote:Hello,

(You may post the link to your test in this forum and I will see it much more quickly)

We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in Listeners WAnted forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

Hello Phil,
Here is the link to the 1 min test you requested:
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_yonesantana.mp3
I'm happy to be credited with my name: Yone Santana
Just a quick question, would you like me to clean the noise and amplify the the sound of my recordings before compressing them to mp3?
Thanks

Your tech specs are right on and you have the official OK to record. And your voice is, of course, great! But there are a few things that you should definitely do before sending in actual recordings: 1) reduce the volume a bit, it is about 95 db overall now and we aim at 89 plus or minus about 3. You obviously know your way around a mic, so this should be a snap. 2) Definitely noise clean before exporting into an mp3, there seems to be a lot of it as well as some reverb. Other that that you are again welcomed to LibriVox. Remember to ask if anything is confusing, better to clear it u p than redo a whole section.yonesantana wrote:Hello Phil,
