Thank you :)

It does look odd. In any case, you are free to leave it as it is and not edit it. Even if it is an error, the change to the text is so small that it is ok under standard pl :) thank you!

Annyiee wrote:Yes some strange stories! I knew I was reading the word wrong but thought it must be a typing error. Maybe it's just not a phrase I am familiar with but the cookery reference implied recipe? No??? I have no problem changing it but wanted to double check! :hmm: Here's the line:

And for those who are not fortunate enough to number in their acquaintance children of the right age and humour, here, as the cookery books say, is a tried receipt.

Thanks/Annyiee
Looking into it, 'receipt' can just mean 'recipe', so I think you don't need to re-record.
5. (archaic in New England and rural US since end of 20th century, elsewhere since middle of 20th century) A recipe, instructions, prescription.

Section 03 - 10:30

As a newb, I suppose I should ask: Is it completely necessary to wait for my claim to be approved in a project with slower activity such as this? I mean, I get the purpose of the process as being helpful in busier projects where several people might be typing at once... and perhaps there are other reasons I'm not thinking of right now... what's the ruling on that?

Thanks!

Thank you

Yes, it is generally necessary. It isnt like there are a ton of claims every day, but activity is unpredictable and we do sometimes get several claims in short time. But it can also happen that i cant be online for two days or so. And if those two fall together it can get difficult. So best is to just claim before getting started. You can also claim a few sections at a time if that makes it easier :)

Hi Angadeon,

The text is all correct, but there's quite a bit of noise. You might want to run some noise reduction. The gap between the end of the text and 'End of Section 3' is a good noise sample to use.

Thank you for the note... on further inspection it looks like I had my input level set really low, which explains why this recording needed so much gain boost to pass the checker. I should have seen that sign, hehe.
I'll give the recording a cleaner try.

Well, I got the OK on my 1 minute test. So I would like to try to get my feet wet for the first time. Can I claim maybe Section 1?
