Hello,

I would like to sign up for section 14, My Matrimonial Predicament. It would be my first official piece, but the story is pretty darned amusing.

Thanks,
Jill

Jill!

Welcome to the project and to Librivox! Section 14 is yours. Please review the first post on the board. Also if you will let me know what name/pseudonym you wish to use for cataloging and if you have a personal website, blog, etc you wish to have librivox linked to, please let me know.

If anything is confusing or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Many thanks,

Philip

Section 14 uploaded. 11:33. No pseudonym for me. Jill Schragen is fine. No website or blog (yet?). :D

Hello, new reader here and I'd like to claim sections 8 A Journey in Search of Nothing, and 35 My Fortnight at Wretchedville, if they are still open?

Best wishes

Hi Philip

Many thanks for that and yes, I'll post if anything needs clarification.

I'd like to use my forum name - jimsvox4 if that's ok?

Best wishes

Jill:

You read Section 14 very well. Your voice is crisp and clear and easy to listen to.

There is only one problem with the file. The audio levels are too low. Usually the decibel range is from 86.5 to 91. This file checked in at 82.3. If you haven't downloaded the checker, yet, it is located on this page:

http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

There is additional information on how to adjust your file's audio here:

http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Amplifying (Section 3.2 is particularly helpful.)

There is no need to re-record the file. If you have any questions or problems with this...I'll be glad to try to walk you through them or get additional help if necessary.

Thanks for your reading!

Hi Phillip and Lynett -

Happy to record the last 3 sections that are not assigned.... I had memorized them and now I have forgotten what their numbers are 4, 10 and 28 perhaps?

Looking forward to getting this book finished!

Hello Philip and Lynnet

I've uploaded my first reading - section 35: My Fortnight at Wretchedville - running time 22:40 - and I hope I've followed the instructions for the read, edit, volume check and uploading.

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/humorousreadingsandrecitations_35_wagner_128kb.mp3

As this is my first attempt, do please let me know if it comes out right!

Hello again Philip and Lynnet

Duh! Fell at the first hurdle :-( I have now amplified and mono-ised the previous file, thanks to finally being able to get the Checker to work - section 35: My Fortnight at Wretchedville - running time 22:40 - I hope this is to the required levels :-)
