Hi Brianna,
I proof listened. There are some updates needed.
First there is a problem with your technical setup. You need to be at a constant bit-rate and 128 kbps bit-rate. There are directions on this in the Newbie Guide to Recording here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording and here you can find Phil's videos on how to do everything: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=33439
Now here are the PL notes for the other updates needed.

Please give it a bit-rate of 128 kbps, and
Please set it up with a constant bit-rate.
It needs to be at 89 db, so amplify it by 8 db.
Reduce the opening silence to 1 second.
Adjust the opening to: "Section 36 of Theory of Colours. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org". Recording by Brianna. "Theory of Colours, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Translated by Charles Eastlake [Section 36]"
There is a repeat at 3:55. “mere” in the phrase: “…light acts with these merely as light,..”
At 10:43, there is a stumble of “…it predominates”
At 15:58, stumble of “antagonizing:
16:30 repeat of “scale”
16:58 stumble of “augmentation”
17:55 stumble of “alkalis”
Increase the end silence to 5 seconds.
After it is updated, please rename the file to theoryofcolours_36_goethe_128kb when you resubmit it.
It was a nice first recording.
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Brianna,
All of the updates in the reading are PL OK now. Great work.
There are still problems with the technical side. For the amplification in this file, it would bring it up in range if you choose the compressor effect and then amplify it by what it suggests.
The bit-rate is at 127 variable bit-rate now but it has to be at 128 constant bit-rate.
In Audacity, when you export the file to MP3, choose the options 128 kbps in the drop down box and click Constant on the choices above.
Please try these things.
Thanks,
Amy

Here are the PL notes for Sections 15 and 22. I have not finished Section 36 yet.

Section 15: PL notes: primary “colors” said where it should be primary “images” at 4:30-4:31. This is not a word perfect project so it is up to you as to whether you want to update it.

Thanks,
Amy
Thanks Amy, will get it updated.

Edited to include link to updated file
