Good to know about too much noise removal, I didn't realize. Thanks for that.

Hmmm... These two files appear to be the same recording. Both are book 2, chapter 11, which is correct for section 19 but not section 18. Could you check your section 18 file please to see if there was an upload problem?

Section 19 has a noticeable hum in it at 120 Hz and 240 Hz. Since it is easy to remove I'll ask you to do so. To remove the hum use the audacity notch filter effect twice. First set it to 240 Hz with a Q value of 6.0 and apply it to the entire file. Then do the same thing with the frequency set to 120 Hz. That will take care of the hum without having much effect on your voice.

Here is 19 again, I will have to redo 18......Audacity crashed on me yesterday (first time) In my disgust I accidentally "replaced" 18 with 19.....argh! That'll teach me to pay more attention. Ah such is life  (what...save data? I will from now on)

I was trying to figure out the hum (I couldn't hear it) but realized I had a diffuser running (which I also don't hear) interesting, sensitive mic. Won't do that again. Thanks for the instructions on how to remove it, now hopefully I did it correctly!

Thank you for making the fix to the hum. It sounds a lot better.

I sure wish I could say I've never done that. Oh well. At least I only did it once (so far).
