Thank you

The silence at the beginning needs not be exactly 0.5-1 second. I usually let anything from 0-2 seconds pass. It is not really an essential part of the recording so it is fine if it varies a little :) thank you!

I went ahead and did 13 without waiting...let me know if that's a no-no. Anyway, here:

Sections 11 and 12 are lovely but not quite loud enough. The minimum volume is 86 dB and these are 83 and 84. If you open them in audacity, you can amplify the volume a few points using the AMPLIFY selection in EFFECTS. You'll then need to re export and upload them. Then they will be perfect ! and I will give them an OK.

aniroo.

sorry if I am giving too much info. I amplified one of mine and then forgot to resave it before I reuploaded, or forgot to re upload or something

That's the trick question. I haven't figured out a way to figure it out in Audacity. I use the program called Checker. Someone configured it specially for Librivox so it checks volume, kps and hrz.
I had to download it in Internet Explorer , but it might work in Chrome or Firefox or whatever Macs use.
