I do believe the next section is even longer...brace yourself!

You probably know this, but if not, no section can be longer than 74 minutes. So try not to go too much longer...alicameron91 wrote:I do believe the next section is even longer...brace yourself!

A quick update from me: I'm going to be on holiday from tomorrow to the 26th, and as such, will not be able to do any PLing for that time period.

Hello Sentimental Education team - I apologize for the radio silence on my end. I've started a new job and getting settled into a new routine.
Per Jordan's previous note on the length of the section - my current file for Chapter 5 runs 77 minutes. I have cut out every extra breath, and short of speeding up the recording and raising my voice a few pitches in the process, there's nothing to be done about it.
Is there a process for overly long recordings? Should I split it into two sections and amend the table to reflect that?
Awaiting your guidance.
Ali

Hi Ali,
Yes, it needs to be split into two sections. I think you can do this yourself in the MW. Check here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kVj409nG_E0XJ5UrrcL7EVx7Qyx-2UQ7dbw4mINi3XQ and don't hesitate to ask if you need help. For the actual recording, you'll have to record a new intro and outro, but otherwise you can just cut and paste half of your recording into a new file. (You can split it wherever you like of course... it doesn't have to be exactly half if it's not a good place to split it.)

Whew! That was a lot of listening...alicameron91 wrote:Section 7 is also ready for PL
Section 7 was PL OK, and here are your notes for 5 and 6:
Section 5:
20:33: 'Leather chairs' is said twice
Section 6:
2:33: 'presiding' should be 'resting'
29:49: Ending silence is a little too long (6.6 seconds).
