I'd love to take section 32, "For You and Me", as well. It is very short... would probably come in at 3 minutes.

Phil
Here's the section, constructive crits welcome.

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/thepigbrother_32_richards_128kb.mp3

length: just under 2:05 - volume: 89 dB

This time I tried getting a bit farther away from my mic to reduce the proximity effect and the nearly-popping Ps. That seemed better than last time. I also dipped in a bit between words to reduce (not eliminate, just drop by 6 dB or so) my inhales.

I couldn't do anything about my voice; this is how I was made; do you see?

Thanks Rich. No need for reconstructive surgery, your voice is fine, trust me. Also, this is a learning process, as you make more tracks you will learn things like the 'right' distance from your mic, howto do breathing, whento take a sip of your tea, etc.
EDIT: I am about to p ut #26 back into the pool for anyone to claim. Would you like it?

Nobody has jumped in asking for section 26, "The Useful Coal" - I'd love to do it.

Here is section 26 - "The Useful Coal"

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/thepigbrother_26_richards_128kb.mp3

Length: just under 7:45
Volume: 89.0

I'm recovering from a cold, which added some 'interesting' gravel to my voice... heh! I listened through it a few times and eventually found 8 words that aren't as in the original text (but only with my pen following along in my printout of the Gutenberg chapter). I've decided I should slow down my reading speed a hair in the future.

On the plus side, I'm really happy with my mic/electronics/recording environment. I didn't have to use any noise reduction at all, other than squashing the occasional gasping inhale.
