Thank you and congratulations on your first recording-- it was a long one, too  Please be sure to check back to see if Tom has any Proof Listening notes for you.

Well done, Ian! My only comment is that you have several instances where you corrected yourself but left the incorrect version of your reading in the recording. These should be deleted. I heard three instances:
21:28 The word "shroud" is repeated
21:56 The word "poor" is repeated
24:23 The word "in" is repeated

Editing tip: start with the last one (24:23), delete the incorrect version, then back up to 21:56 and fix that one, then do the one at 21:28. By working in reverse order the earlier times remain correct while you edit the later ones.

Hi.
I've just uploaded Section 23. It's 48 minutes and 4 seconds long - hopefully without too many errors.

Regards,

Ian

A fine recording Ian! I have just one technical item for your attention:
The checker program lists the recording volume as 85db which is slightly outside of the target range of 86 to 92db. You can correct this using the Audacity amplify effect. It will only allow you to amplify by about 1.4db, but that's enough.
Thank you!
