Welcome Iqrakhan and emilycorridor! I'll reserve the sections, but please keep working on your 1-minute tests until you get a PL OK. It is so much easier to make sure your settings are all good before recording a section.

Vatta, I'm so sorry I still haven't gotten to your sections. I've tried all day, and now my eyelids will not stay open. Tomorrow...

Hi Vatta - I'm marking section 9 PL OK, but you might want to take a look at your mic set-up as you have quite a few plosives. Plosives are popping sounds caused by your breath hitting the mic, and you can usually fix them by placing the mic slightly above or to the side of your mouth.

Some examples:
0:02 history
0:16 history
0:38 thirteenth
0:44 Puck

Section 8 is PL OK!

(Yes, it did have a fair number of plosives, but there's no way to fix those after the fact and I don't want you to have to re-record all those words. Next time will be better! :) )

Ok thanks,

I am working on how to correct that before recording again.

Yes, you may! Thanks!

I'll move us over to Readers Found for now, and give our newbies another week or so to get their tests OK'd.
