COMPLETE [Fortnightly] The Power of the Dog by Kipling - dl
David,
Methinks, you've uploaded the old file for the second time. There are two files (one dated today 3:23pm, the other 5:58pm), but they are identical.
Please check and re-upload. Thanks!

Thank you Cyndy, good reading, but you may wish to fix a line..
at 1:43 I hear "When it comes to burying Christian day.
text - "When it comes to burying Christian clay."

Thank you Jude, there is one mis-read you may wish to fix
@1:50 you read "That the longer we’ve kept ‘em, the more we grieve: " text "That the longer we’ve kept ‘em, the more do we grieve:"

LOL - I looked at that word several times and thought it a bit odd for it to be "day,"aradlaw wrote:Thank you Cyndy, good reading, but you may wish to fix a line..

but the font on my computer definitely made it appear that way.
I'll correct it as soon as possible.

Here's a reading from me -- (length 2:11)

I've had four dogs in my life, Sandy, Cinni, Pepper, and Lily, and saying goodbye to every one of them has been a wrench. Why do we always end up giving our heart to yet another of 'em? But we do, don't we?

I have tried to re record this poem, and I have been having a few problems with my laptop over the last few days. I thought it was BT Broadband (British Telecom). However, I'm on the main computer and it's all fine. I tried to do this poem again and when I listened back to it, it was jumping over sentences. So please can you take my first attempt off - I'm not going to be here next week anyway, so it's the perfect time for me to get a new laptop. I apologise. Will be back after my holiday.

LibriSkub, good reading, but there are a couple of issues with the specs..
- the bitrate is 78 kbps (variable) we need 128 kbps
- the volume is low at 81.7 dB with a high background noise
*The bitrate is set in the Export window | Options - choose Bite Rate Mode - Constant; Quality - 128 kbps; Channel Mode - Stereo (you've set Mono in your preferences)
*You should aim for your wave forms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:
*Please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.
