The link to Chapter 9 is not working. I'm at my mom's so I can't check the uploader to see what the problem is. Can you take a look?

Thanks.
MaryAnn
Nothing obvious but I re-uploaded. It seems to be working now.

Won't get anything done for a couple of weeks as my mom will be visiting. Expect an LV-fest when she leaves though

Wait, what? They killed him?
I am very disappointed in that plot twist. :(
I'll post notes soon. Couple of little things for you to take a look at on 2 sections, but my notes on which ones and where are in the car.

According to Wikipedia:
On Sunday 20 November 1407, the contending Dukes exchanged solemn vows of reconciliation before the court of France. But only three days later, Louis was brutally assassinated in the streets of Paris, by the orders of the Duke of Burgundy John the Fearless. Louis was stabbed while mounting his horse by fifteen masked criminals led by Raoulet d'Anquetonville, a servant of the Duke of Burgundy. The unarmed servants who escorted him were powerless to protect him—his page tried to protect Louis and was mortally wounded. An attendant was severely wounded.

Lynne,

You are PL OK through 53. My slow connection this morning refused to get past minute 4 of section 52, but I'll trust that you got the correction done and mark it PL OK.

Very enjoyable book to listen to. Congratulations!

Thank you for PLing.
Interesting that Agnes Sorel was a relatively minor character but I suppose it was her influence over both Jean and Charles that drove the story. Although it was based on actual events, I'm not sure just how much invention there was... for example, if Jean actually existed. Agnes did, and so did Caboche and Lamolini; and I think the characters of the royals were fairly accurate.
