great to have you on board Leanne Since Todd is probably not up yet, I'll sign you up for now. Have fun playing a serious young girl, freshly out of the conventleanneyauyau wrote:Hello, may i claim ellean Tanqueray?

oh-ho Mrs Tanqueray is already in ! Excellently done Beth. You play her very cheerful in the first act, so this will make an enormous impact on the audience when she becomes much more morose, jealous and vindictive in the subsequent acts. But already here, the first signs of that side of her character are there in her suicide remark. I think you played it out to perfection.Elizabby wrote:Here's the first Paula file, 6:12 long. I wasn't sure what the voice credit was supposed to say, so I've given you both versions of the name.

haha, I bet our dialogue will be study in bitchiness Looking forward to that. (well we already practiced with Cleopatra and Octavia, remember ?)Act 2 is also recorded, but I'm still playing around with how to say "Mrs Cortelyon" for maximum annoyance!
this sounds like a planElizabby wrote:Yes, I read the play and decided it is a journey from the eager girl who dreams of hostessing an upper class dinner party, through disappointment and bitterness to ultimate despair. So Act 1 is cheerful and hopeful, Act 2 is more edgy and angry with jealousy, and the vindictive streak starting to appear. Act 3 is mostly bitter and cynical, Act 4 desperation and despair.
argh by the ending of this scene I so despised Paula. Why on earth did she have to tell and ruin Ellean's happiness ? While in the beginning with this awful Orreyed woman she sounds much nicer than I would have pictured her. Poor Paula chooses her friends wrongly.Elizabby wrote:Here's the third Paula file, 16:51 long. The second act was a long one, still in editing.
