Thank you! 20 is PL ok.
Morning,
I've been assigned Chapter 17, but have gotten stuck. I've got it recorded and mostly edited, but just need to cut in a few corrections. However, I've had a cold that has altered my voice for the past week, so I've been delayed in re-recording the corrections. I'd love to keep the chapter and finish it, but I want to respect the process and don't want to hold anything up. I will understand if you feel it's best to reassign it, but if it's possible to keep the Chapter, I will get it sent in as soon as possible.
Thank you,
-JenW

Hi, Jen. Thanks for the heads-up. The rule of thumb is that you have two months to record your claimed sections. It looks like you're well within that time frame, so no need to give up the chapter. And unfortunately, vocal maladies do happen. I'm sure we've all dealt with that. It sounds like you've already worked really hard on this chapter, so please do finish it out when you are feeling better. I look forward to hearing it!
Morning,

Great reading, Jen. There are only a couple of notes.
At about 3:39, the whispered word "Holwick" is too quiet. I understand why you whispered this part, as it is part of a whispered conversation by the characters, but even knowing what word to expect here, I could barely hear it. Maybe try a kind of "stage whisper"? However you choose to do it, it's just important that the listener be able to hear it.
The ending silence needs to be trimmed. You only need 5 seconds of silence at the end.
Thanks again! Once these changes are made, 17 will be done!

If you have already whispered the line, sometimes just selecting that one bit and amplifying it makes it louder but keeps the whispered quality. You could try that before re-recording.

I had thought to record two chapters last night, but after all that harsh voice work I needed a cup of tea and a rest!
I would like to finish off this project soon though, so I'll probably read a couple of the unclaimed chapters soon.
