I'm reading through the Mediations myself for the first time ever, so this is an amazing opportunity. :)
May I offer my voice for Book VI?

Yes you may take book XII. A big welcome to LibriVox by the way. What would you like your catalog name to be? Some of us use our real names but it is up to you. Please ask if anything is confusing, we are a friendly bunch here. If a bit stoic .....

Question regarding numbers.

Do we read aloud the numbers preceding each paragraph?

Hi balrogboogie, and a big welcome to LibriVox! :D I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please wait until we check out your 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. I tried to download it but it said t here was no file. You can post another test in this thread and I will probably see it sooner.

Since you are new, I recommend the astounding video: Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums

And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

EDIT: Balrog? Oh my goodness, brings back my D&D days with my sons!! Or are you thinking of something else?

Huh, sorry about that, here's another link: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_duncanlaird2.mp3

"Balrog Boogie" is the name of a song that I thought was particularly good. I'm also a big D&D fan though, so it works on multiple levels :)

Excellent. You have the official OK to record lots and lots for LibriVox. As a side note, you do have lots of little 'plosives where your breath hits the microphone directly, mostly in the words starting with P. (which is why the phrase uses them a lot). I suggest moving the mic a bit to the side of your mouth so your breath goes across instead of directly into it. But other that that you have a great voice and pace !!!! Did you post this in Listeners Wanted forum?
