"Uncle Wiggly and the Starfish" is perfect except the words "by Howard R. Garis" are left out of the introduction. Lynnet, can we let leaving the author out slip by on this chapter?
 I slipped on that. I can easily edit the words in "by Howard R. Garis" and send that in for you today.

We need the author at least once, either beginning or end, for each section. Thanks.

And a clean edit it is, thank you.

Section 9 - PL OK

I've got to say Garis plays fast and loose with biology. A starfish is a kind of fish? Um... sure, whatever.

He churned out so many stories, I imagine he skimped on his research... not just Uncle Wiggily (1500 of them), but, according to Wikipedia, he contributed to:

The Mystery Boys series
The Daddy series
The Baseball Joe Series
Two Wild Cherries series
Rick and Ruddy series
Those Smith Boys series
The Venture Boys series
Larry Dexter Series
Three Little Trippertrots series
Tom Cardiff series
Circus Animal stories
Bed Time series
The Curlytops series
Buddy series
Rocket Riders series
Teddy series
Uncle Wiggily series
Happy Home series

Wow! He wrote a lot! Anyway, it's a fantasy story, so completely believable about the starfish... lol... I'm recording The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland now too, and Lewis Carroll plays around with reality, as well!

Laurence,

The section is very loud. "Checker" reports the volume at 92.9 dB - the LibriVox standard range is 86-92 dB - and a lot of the audio peaks reach digital zero.

Also, the silence at the end of the section is over 15 seconds long.

To fix it you should lower the level 4 dB and trim the closing silence down to 5 seconds, the re-export and re-upload. The peaks that reach zero don't sound distorted so you should be OK on the clipping front. Your reading itself is great, so fixing the level and ending silence should be all you need.

Laurence -
Checker now reports your audio level as 90.2 dB - near the middle of the OK range - and your loudest peaks are around -3 dB. The length of silence at the end of the section is 10 seconds - right at the max allowable.

Section 10 - "UNCLE WIGGILY AND THE EEL" - PL OK

Thanks for the reading & thanks for the fix.
(Lynnet, I'll mark the new section length in the Magic Window.)
