Oh, yes, I'd be most grateful.
I have the rest of mine recorded, so will edit and post if you can PL.
I'll have Amy put you in.

Thanks so much. :9:

Jumped the gun a bit on these, but I'm glad to have them.

I just checked the specs on these, and both of them are much too low in volume. Our LV target is 89bB with a range of +/- 3dB (86-92dB). Your recording for Section 85 is only 83.5 dB and Section 147 is even lower at 82.2 dB. If you're using Audacity, use the Amplify function from the Effects menu and set it at about +5 for the first one and + 6 for the second one. Then upload the new files under the same name and post a note here. Then I'll put them in the MW for PL. The short bit that I listened to sounded great, so all we need is the volume correction. Thanks so much.

OK, let's try these. I was afraid you were going to tell me I had to sing 'em!

How can I check my level to get it more precise?
Thanks and best regards,
Michael

What? You didn't sing these???
These are right on for volume. There are two programs that I use. One is ReplayGain. it is an Audacity plugin. After I've recorded and done noise reduction, I run it through RG which tells me how many dB I need to amplify, either up or down. Then I use the Amplify feature in Audacity to do that.

When I PL, I use a program called Checker which was written specifically for LibriVox. It analyzes several specs including volume and will alert you to anything that needs adjustment. It also measures the file length. I’m sorry I don’t have the links, but these are both available in the LV wikis.

You need to include the file length, per instructions, when you post the link in the forum. Since I rant these through Checker I put the length in the MW and these are Ready for PL.
I’ve also assigned 89 and 90 to you.
Thanks so much for joining the project.
