Sixty Jane ; and, The strike on the Schlafeplatz railroad ; "Our Anchel" ; The lady and her soul ; The beautiful graveyard ; Lucky Jim ; The outrageous Miss Dawn-Dream ; The little house in the little street where the sun never came ; The atonement
by Long, John Luther, 1861-1927; Decorative Designers. bdd; Century Company. pbl; De Vinne Press. prt; Sterner, Albert, 1863-1946

short stories, interesting stuff. sixty jane is the story of an elderly lady, then we have a railroad adventure, a civil war story, and others. all of them have some kind of local color dialogue which i found difficult but which other readers might love to interpret.

The way of the gods
by Long, John Luther, 1861-1927

interesting stuff. our narrator is in japan, and he is a not-so successful writer. he also talks to a bronze statute of a shinto god, which in itself is not that unusual i guess, only, this god replies.

Heimweh; The siren; The loaded gun; Liebereich; "Jupiter Tonans"; "Sis"; Thor's emerald; Guile
by Long, John Luther, 1861-1927

interesting short stories of varied topics. we have the story of a soldier longing for home, an accidental shooting, and some other interesting subjects. the stories are subdivided and not that long, so this would make a great solo or group project ;)

five short stories set in japan. i think a lot of our readers would like them :)

the first story was recorded as a solo, but we are missing the other four.

War; or, What happens when one loves one's enemy
by Long, John Luther, 1861-1927

this is a story of the american civil war, with two brothers getting sucked into it. written with lots of compassion, as if really someone was looking back to these sad occurrences years later and tells them to you.

this is the story of newly(ish) arrived italian immigrants in the united states. it centers around signore piccioli, the barber, and his family, telling their hardships with a lot of compassion :)
