COMPLETE[PLAY]Love and a Bottle by George Farquhar - thw
While I was preparing for my role just now, I noticed that two scanned pages (book pages 108 & 109 / in the slot after the archive page position 135) are missing from the main body of the text, but by error, they are inserted into the next play (The Constant Couple - still remembered fondly )
The roles affected are Roebuck and Lovewell, who have a dialogue on these pages, so I'll make a note in the MW for Algy and Todd. To find the missing pages, scroll till after the Preface to the Constant Couple (they are at the archive page position 150 & 151)
Actually I think this direct link will work: https://archive.org/stream/dramaticworksge00ewalgoog#page/n148/mode/2up/search/lean
Hope this helps

The same goes for a semi-cut-off page 30, also for Roebuck and Lovewell (you had bad luck, Algy and Todd )
to find the complete text, go to page 21 in the google book:
https://books.google.lu/books?id=bKNhAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA3&hl=de&source=gbs_toc_r&cad=4#v=twopage&q&f=false
there's often only one word missing, so no big deal
I think that's all the difficulties encountered

I knew about the fun on page 30 but figured we could just make up the last word. I completely missed that 108 and 109 were not there. Thank you for finding the replacement pages!
(Did we mis-read the relocated pages as part of The Constant Couple?? I know these farces don't always make complete sense but even I might have noticed two pages of new characters!)
Sonia, I'd say you must be flu-free at this point and back to your normal - which means, of course, exceptional compared with the rest of us. So glad you are our DPL for this!
Thanks, Todd

LOL no it was right at the beginning, don't worry. I would have flagged them as wrong back then I even think we had another text source and not this one.ToddHW wrote:(Did we mis-read the relocated pages as part of The Constant Couple?? ah, here is a man who knows about his "brushing" I was half expecting your Pisanio-voice, which would have been fitting here as well. And I think, by the end of the act you drift more and more into itCraigos wrote:https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/loveandabottle_brush_1.mp3 3:46

excellently played out ! I love the cheeky voice you're doing. The way you say "she's very well pleased with his natural parts", I thought: this needs parental guidanceCraigos wrote:https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/loveandabottle_brush_2.mp3 1:23

Acts 3 & 5 are PL ok
small error in Act 2:
> at 0:55: (p. 47 top) "A coach and six, sir" - you say one "sir" too many. I think the expression "coach and six" should better not be interrupted
btw Todd, another error I found for your Roebuck/Lovewell dialogue (what is with those two that attract errors ?)
at p. 28: Roebuck is speaking 3 lines in a row, which startled me. I suspect that must be a typo and the sentence in the middle is supposed to be spoken by Lovewell ("That I can't grant"). I'll make a note in the MW
Sonia
Thank you!
