 no kidding, this was porn ! I mean, it was not "thinly" disguised, but not disguised at all LOL This "flute-playing" scene (yes I got the meaning) in the middle...I hope I was on top of that. Now all we need is a Crassus who can pant just as much as me

Well, this role was interesting to say the least. A totally new character for me. But, as I always say, I want to try out everything once.

(*whispers*) You know... Aleister Crowley wrote many, many other plays... if you guys are interested. :-P

I think I read somewhere that this play was like a cross between W.B. Yeats and late night Cinemax... and that description kinda makes sense. You can kinda see why Crowley was known as "the wickedest man in the world," and why this was only printed for private consumption.

Anyway, thanks for the recording. I'll PL this tonight, when I get a chance. :-)

And trust me: I'll be wearing my headphones.
PROJECTS
Current Solo:Septimius Felton (Hawthorne's final novel)
Help Needed: Strange Interlude (O'Neill's Freudian melodrama - roles available!)

I'd like to do Box and Cox by John Maddison Morton. There are only three characters plus stage directions, and it had me laughing out loud as I read.

By the way, this would be my first play to BC, but I did kinda "BC" The Baker's Dozen, in the 12th Anniversary Collection, so kind of the same thing. I'd need Mr. Box, Mr. Cox, and Mrs. Bouncer. I can do stage directions, unless someone else wants to, and I could edit.

Cox and Box! I love this - it's the original play from which Gilbert and Sullivan made a short operetta! I'd like to read Mrs Bouncer please!

Thank you! I think it may have been your original suggestion that brought this to my attention. I found it while wading through the play suggestions thread. So thank you for that, too!

Stage directions, 16:27.
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/boxandcox_stagedir_morton.mp3

I decided in reading the stage directions that I'd like each of the three characters to read their own costume descriptions. So it will be:

[Character], read by [name]. (John Box and James Cox will insert here, "a Journeyman Printer" or "a Journeyman Hatter", respectively) [Costume description]

Hi happy for them to do that but when you get people signed up to the parts please can you remember to let them know about this and write out the text as you would like them to say it. They may not see this post when they sign up so they will not know to do it.

Thanks
Michele
