THE CAMP FIRE GIRLS AT SUNRISE HILL by Margaret Vandercook (1877 - 1958).

Quote:
This novel is the first of 14 in this series.. ( )

  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/files/8662/8662-h/8662-h.htm
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

OK, Your MW is ready for you, Debbie! I will wait to hear from Divya, to see if she will take me up on my invitation to PL this project. If not, then I will go ahead a PL.

One thing about your section titles, we can't use double quotes ("), it messes up the titles when it goes to archive. You can use the single quote (') instead.

Thank you for the heads up. I will remember this next time as I copied and pasted straight from Gutenberg. I will edit this afternoon. Thanks.

Woo hoo!

I am not going to be able to record much before trading Everglades for rain forest and redwoods. I will be previewing chapters on the road though as I vacation. What fun.

Thanks for your patience and tutelage, Ann

No problem! This will give me a chance to get caught up, write a couple of summaries, and maybe get my solo project further along. Have fun!

Ann, are you interested in MC'ing the next Molly Brown novel? Planning to set it up by friday. I guess I want to come back to clean MWs, fresh stories.

Hope I haven't worn you out with my readings. Take care.

Sure, I can MC that one for you. Let me know when you have it posted and I will generate your MW!

This series is going to be fun! Chapter 1 is PL OK! There is one thing that you need to be aware of for the future. The file names should not start with "the". It has more to do with alphabetizing than anything else, but the normal way of doing it is not to include "the" in the file name. You can leave the first section as it is because I can fix that when I catalog the project, but for the rest you should leave it off.

Hmmm. Regarding the file name, I took it off the instructions below the MW. Did not know I had a choice in the setting up names and such. So when I send ch 2 and on just start w campfiregirls...,? I usually just copy and paste, changing the section number.

Still learning the process.

That's strange, the workflow normally does not put "the" into the file name. Oh well, at least we know that something is happening that should not. Also, one thing to keep in mind for the future, again, is that you can edit the file names if you want, to make life easier for you. Sometimes a book will have a very long title, and the template generator will spit the whole thing out in one very long name (I've seen some horrible ones). Or, you have a file name in mind for a whole series that is a little different than what you are given. You don't have to use what the generator gives you, make it what you want, we are not too picky around here. Just as long as it makes sense, and you are consistent, we are fine with what you do. (There are lots of little tricks that I have learned over the years being a serial soloist, and I have a feeling that you will be one as well. :hmm: Just a feeling I have!)
