Unmasked, or the Science of Immorality. To Gentlemen by Mary Edwards Walker (1832 - 1919).

This project is now complete. All files can be found on the catalog page:
http://librivox.org/unmasked-or-the-science-of-immorality-by-mary-edwards-walker/

Mary Edwards Walker was a physician and surgeon who served in the Civil War. An abolitionist, prohibitionist, and cross-dressing leader of the women's dress reform movement, she published this lively sex manual in 1878. It is a curious blend of useful information and Victorian sexual mythology, at once puritanical and explicit. (Pamela Nagami)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/unmaskedorscienc00walk
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Well, if you already have a DPL, then the only thing I can do is to MC this.

Sounds like fun! :D

Okay, we're all set!

I have severely shortened the filename; and I notice that you have a mix of sections and chapters in the intro/outro.

Other than that, we're ready to go. Enjoy!

Thanks, Ava!

I will read them as Sections and call them named Chapters, sometimes in parts.

My best,

That's fine with me, you've been around long enough to know what you're doing ;-)

Let's stay here for another day or so; I like letting other people know what our readers are up to (so they can hold their breath and wait for the final release...)
Cheers, Ava.
