12:20... Which is noteworthy, as the raw unedited file was 13:36, which means I had to cut less that 10% if it to get rid of my flubs (and 17 second of that was one spot where it took me 5 tries to get on line right). Normally, I'm cutting out a quarter to a third of the file.
I'm so jealous. I feel like I cut out about 50% of my recorded files. Part of the reason I'm so slow. :-/

Speaking of which... sorry it took so long to listen to this; I've been insanely busy at work lately. But the narration is great and contains only one VERY minor error:

1:42 - “…a gallery proof in his hand” - should be “galley proof”

There was one other minor slip up as well, but it's a piece of narration that I'll no doubt cut out during the editing stage.

Thanks for the recording!

Now on to PL-ing Todd's files...

Todd's lines are PL OK! :-)

And in fact, all the files (except for the narration) are now PL OK. Thanks all!

Here's the corrected version:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/thepeople_narrator_glaspell.mp3

Didn't realize that I'd been saying the term wrong my whole life (This is actually the second time that's happened recording for Librivox). So, I had to look it up. I'd always read it as "gallery" assuming the proofs would be displayed for review, in a sort of gallery. Actually, the term apparently comes from the long strips resembling a galley ship.
Truth,
James

Ha! It's a common mistake -- I'm sure I've made it loads of times, although I'll plead the fifth if asked about frequency. :-P

This is PL OK now.

Since we're still lacking in pending one acts, I've decided to do another one.

Carolin brought this one up in the recommendations thread, so blame her for this kooky little play. It's kind of irresistibly bizarre (and for those following along, Crowley wrote many other plays that might be worth doing eventually -- plenty of weird ritual magick to go around for everyone!).

Title: Household Gods
Author: Aleister Crowley (1875-1946)
Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/14040
Publication Date: 1912
Characters:
CRASSUS, a barbarian from Britain.
ADELA, his wife, a noble Roman lady.
ALICIA, a servant in the house.
A STATUE OF PAN.
A FAUN
Narration (which I've already recorded -- https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/householdgods_narration_crowley.mp3)

 woah serious sensuous stuff here. This needs parental guidance advice

Well, for the record, I am well over 18 years old and therefore legally allowed to apply for the role of "Alicia" (yes I already read till the end  ) if you think I can pull that one, Chuck.

Sonia
I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April
and unable to PL during that time. Thank you for your patience.

Haha! Yeah, uh... this would probably be the filthiest play ever to make it into a one act collection. Probably should have warned you guys before you all volunteered. :-P

With that said, I'd love to have you, Sonia. Thank you so much! :-)
