Hi Mahima,

I have temporarily added you, but we need to hear back about your test recording first.

Also, you're not logged in the system yet. What do you want to be known as?

Hi Sanjay,

All the recordings were PL OK, except 178, which didn't have 5 seconds of silence at the end.

I have assigned those new poems to you.

Hi,

Interesting collection... It's been a while but I'd like to record a few of the sections. To start, I wanted to claim 188. In fact, I've already recorded it:

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/itcanbedone_188_various_128kb.mp3

I hope I've done everything right...if not, please let me know! If it works I'll look at which others I'd like to claim.

Thanks!

Hi Kasper,

It's not good practise to record a section before you've claimed it, but no-one else had claimed it, so you're good.

There's nothing wrong with the text, but putting your recording through Checker spits out a list of problems:
  • You've got variable bit rate, when it should be 128kb constant bit rate. Check your options when saving the file.
  • The volume is too high. It should be about 89 dB, and you've got 92.1 dB. Select the whole thing, and Amplify by -3.
  • There's a large amount of DC bias (not really a problem, but if you want to edit something, it can be quite obvious). Select the whole thing, and Normalize.
  • There's noticeable noise in the background. Check this page for information.
Oh, and when you post a recording, you should let us know how long it is, so we can add it to the Magic Window more easily.
